1. Be physically qualified and meet the height/weight standards according to AR 600-9. Must have a valid DA Form 705 showing a passing score conducted within the past year. Students can attend the PTQC Course with a tempory physical profile with the understanding that they cannot perform the duties of a TAC until profile has been cleared.
2. Be a commissioned officer (minimum rank 1LT), senior NCO (minimum rank SFC), or warrant officer (minimum rank CW2). A soldier who is currently one grade below may attend PTQC with approval of his/her regional Bn commander. NOTE: OCS companies assigning soldiers who are below the above grades as TACs must submit a request for exception to policy through the OCS SME to the OCS proponent.
3. Be a graduate of Basic Officer Leadership Course III (BOLC III) [previously known as Officer Basic Course (OBC)], Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC), phases I & II (and III if applicable), or Warrant Officer Basic Course.
4. Being a graduate of a TRADOC-approved instructor training course (TAITC or ABI) is required to be a TAC, but not required to attend PTQC.
5. Be officially enrolled in PTQC through ATRRS.
6. Be an active participant in PTQC.
(a) Perform all course learning activities in a conscientious manner.
(b) Complete training to-standards on all lessons.
(c) Request instructor assistance when unclear on the course material.
(d) Successfully complete all practical exercises and quizzes.
(e) Work safely and report all unsafe conditions.
(f) Report to duty on time and in the proper uniform. Adhere to the training schedule and the guidance contained in the student LOI.
(g) Follow the directions of the instructor.
