The Oklahoma National Guard Employment Coordination Program (ECP) was recently created for the Oklahoma National Guard’s Soldiers, Airmen, and Families.
Mission Statement
The Employment Coordination Program increases career opportunities for our deserving Oklahoma Guard members / Veterans by developing positive relationships with Oklahoma employers and connecting our Citizen Soldiers / Airmen with these employers through all available channels and resources in order to obtain stabilized careers and optimal National Guard retention.
The National Guard’s Employment Coordination Program is a breakthrough agency developed to directly connect our deserving Oklahoma Citizen Soldiers / Airmen to Employers offering career opportunities.
Our unemployed and underemployed Guard members are deserving of the highest degree of assistance and support in pursuit of stable and life-long careers. You will have access to all available resources that will help prepare you to earn a competitive edge and land that ideal career. Our Program will provide one-on-one attention to ensure the resume, cover letter, and application is in proper order for submission to the employer. We will provide interview coaching, if needed.
This program links combat experienced Guard members to Careers and the result is Synergy that benefits both the Employer and the Oklahoma National Guard hero.
Our deserving Soldiers and Airmen, the majority are combat experienced and exhibit the following traits:
- Highly skilled
- Expertly trained
- Experienced using their technical / tactical skills and training in diverse environments
- Leaders developed from military missions and training
- Required to continually train to attain increased proficiency in their assignments through military schools and civilian education
- Physically and medically fit
- Drug free
- Screened for specific levels of security clearances
